  A great retreat away from everything. The little touches welcome basket (eggs from the farm, bread, beans, milk in the fridge), log burner lit and warming the cabin (extra sacks of logs on the front porch) , candles lit, petals sprinkled on the path - all made for a great welcome.
  
  There are some great walks either a short drive, or straight from the door.
  
  The nearest shop is about a 15 drive through the narrow country lanes so make sure you stock up on supplies.
  
  Worth taking a trip north to Hay-on-Wye for some lovely independent shops and book stores.
  
  We had a great weekend away and looked forward to getting the fire lit in our remote log cabin after a day exploring. Highly recommended.
